Good looking actor Shravan Reddy who essay the character of Neil on Star Plus’s Dosti.. Yariyaan.. Manmarzian, in an informal conversation speaks to TellyBuzz about his love for sports. Cricket may be his first love and something that he ought to do, he reveals about how acting happened to him.
“I have always been a sports fanatic. I love sports, specifically cricket a lot. I always wanted to be a cricketer. Back then, I was very keen and had a lot of interest in sports. In fact, I also became a state level cricketer. I could have played further but my father then wanted me to concentrate on my studies. In this whole circle of study, I lost my hand over cricket.”
Shravan was never really interested in studies. “For me, I knew job was not my cup of tea. Job/studies and I were just like chalk and cheese. But in the back of my mind, I always had this thing that cricket will not happen easily; starting from the scratch. Later, I decided to get into acting. I came down to Mumbai and for the first 10-11 months, I did not give any auditions. My friend suggested me a few things on which I started working. I worked on my physic, how to face the camera, dialogue delivery. I also learnt martial arts and polished my acting skills. I was very fortunate to get a show with my first audition itself.”
Was it an easy entry for you in the industry? “It was not difficult but it cannot be called easy as well. I had to struggle and in fact I would say I am still struggling. Since I am from south, I had to work on my Hindi too. I feel for me to reach where I want to, I will have to struggle. Besides this, it will take some time too.”
TellyBuzz wishes Shravan all the best for his endeavours!
