What is anandi supposed to be afraid of? I wd genuinely like to understand.

Anandi is not afraid of anything. Even if she is, its because she wants to be genuine in her new relationship and without any strings. Though she loves Shiv and has finished with Jagya, she cannot suddenly switch over to the new relationship. The role of a new husband in her life , cannot be suddenly accepted overnight. She wants to be completely committed to the marriage. It takes time to get to totally accept the new situation. It is not like changing your dress- where you remove and discard the old dress and wear a new one. You cannot just wipe out your past memories. Marriage means companionship and love- not just sex. The way of looking at life today has changed and may be a little difficult to accept this. Yet even today, when a spouse dies or one is divorced it takes time for the person to accept another marriage. Understanding, moral support and love from those around you are the only things that can help them to feel assured to accept the change and the new path with confidence and a sense of total committment.
